Together Toward Salt Lake City – Your Voice Matters
Dear GSACEP Members,
As we look ahead to ACEP’s Scientific Assembly in Salt Lake City this September, I want to take a moment to reflect on the important work we’ve accomplished together and the challenges still before us.
At the upcoming Council meeting that precedes Scientific Assembly, GSACEP will once again be at the table, actively representing your interests and advocating for the needs of military and government emergency physicians. We know that it’s not always easy to speak out—so let us be your voice. Please share your thoughts, concerns, and ideas through our Members’ Voice anonymous form. Your input guides our advocacy and ensures that your perspective is heard where it matters most.
We’re also proud to highlight recent webinars brought forward by ACEP and supported by our chapter, providing timely education and resources to strengthen our community. Be sure to explore ACEP's Congressional Crash Cart to learn more about the potential impacts of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act on emergency medicine. You can also view GSACEP's most recent webinars here. These efforts reflect what we can accomplish when we work together—and we are just getting started.
To build on this momentum, we’re asking for your involvement. GSACEP’s committees are always seeking fresh perspectives and talents. Right now, we are especially looking for members interested in:
Public Relations Committee – including social media, podcasting, and new ways to connect with our members.
Conference Planning Committee – to help shape the Government Services Symposium and plan events that bring us together as a chapter and as a specialty.
Your voice and expertise are critical to the success of these efforts. If you’ve been looking for a way to get more involved, now is the time.
Finally, thank you for your continued hard work and dedication during a time of unprecedented and increasing challenges for our specialty. For those of you that will be joining us at ACEP Scientific Assembly in Salt Lake City this September, we encourage you to connect with us and your fellow members at the following events:
GSACEP Member Meeting and Luncheon: Sunday, September 7 - 10:30am -1:00pm
GSACEP Member Reception: Monday, September 8 - 5:30pm-7:00pm
Whatever the future brings, we face it together, and GSACEP will be with you every step of the way.
With gratitude,
Justine Stremick, MD
President, GSACEP
